Over 39,000 readers voted in Motorrad’s 14th edition of “Motorcycle of the Year”, an increase of 11,000 over 2011 and further indication of the international interest generated by Ducati, the famous motorcycle brand, based in the Borgo Panigale region of Bologna, Italy. Ducati was the most successful manufacturer at the award ceremony, winning three of the eight main categories, with the brand new and revolutionary Ducati1199 Panigale stealing the coveted prize for “Best Sport Motorcycle” with 41.2% of the vote, 20% more than runner-up, BMW for the S1000RR. Underlining its innovative entry to the highly competitive category, the new DucatiDiavel Cromo claimed the “Best Naked Motorcycle” award with 9.7% of the vote ahead of the Triumph Speed Triple, while the Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Touringwon the “Best All-rounder” award with an impressive 23.9% of the vote, 10% ahead of the BMW K1300S. WARRANTYWarrantyDucati guarantees all its bikes for a period of 24 months from registration, with unlimited mileage
Motorcycles used for any type of competition and/or for renting are not covered by the warranty. To maintain the validity of the warranty, three services must be carried out at 1000 km (or six months), 12,000 km (or 12 months) and 24,000 km (or 24 months) by any official Ducati dealer. Warranty will be not honoured for motorcycles repaired by unofficial Dealer networks, for improper use, for bikes with non-genuine parts, for damages incurred from accidents, overloads, negligent use, or improper maintenance. Further details are detailed in the Warranty/pre-delivery booklet, attached to every new motorcycle. The warranty is international and therefore valid outside the country of purchase too, and is transferred to the new owner if the bike is sold. It also includes the Ducati Card Assistance roadside recovery and medical service. |
