MAINTENANCE

Maintenance

Multistrada 1200 introduces new Ducati maintenance programme

With the arrival of the new Multistrada 1200, Ducati will reach a significant milestone in the company’s engineering history by extending the periods between major services on the new model to an owner-friendly 24,000km (15,000 miles).
Doubling the mileage between valve clearance inspection has been made possible with the introduction of a new valve seat material combined with improved combustion efficiency and temperature management designed into the Multistrada’s new Testastretta 11° engine.

OWNING A DUCATI IS EASIER THAN EVER BEFORE

With service intervals extended to 7,500 miles (12,000) and fewer parts required, owning a Ducati is easier than ever before*.

Reducing the cost of service when you visit your Ducati dealer for maintenance is one way to measure the new quality of Ducati. It also contributes immensely to making the Ducati ownership experience as satisfying as the Ducati riding experience.

Research and development is the number one investment at the Ducati factory. This investment in performance and quality includes our factory processes, machinery and the people who build each Ducati. By ‘engineering-in’ quality through design, materials and testing, every Ducati owner will enjoy significant and quantifiable improvements in every Ducati motorcycle.

To a rider, the best measure of quality is by the riding experience. You can feel a new smoothness to the legendary Ducati L-Twin, a more progressive nature to the powerful brakes and more confident road holding in every turn. Reliability and quality – one ride is all the proof you will need.

WARRANTY

Warranty

Ducati guarantees all its bikes for a period of 24 months from registration, with unlimited mileage

Motorcycles used for any type of competition and/or for renting are not covered by the warranty.
The parts subject to wear, such as the tyres, clutch plates, brake discs, brake pads, timing belts and cables are not covered by the warranty. Warranty coverage begins from registration.

To maintain the validity of the warranty, three services must be carried out at 1000 km (or six months), 12,000 km (or 12 months) and 24,000 km (or 24 months) by any official Ducati dealer. Warranty will be not honoured for motorcycles repaired by unofficial Dealer networks, for improper use, for bikes with non-genuine parts, for damages incurred from accidents, overloads, negligent use, or improper maintenance. Further details are detailed in the Warranty/pre-delivery booklet, attached to every new motorcycle.

The warranty is international and therefore valid outside the country of purchase too, and is transferred to the new owner if the bike is sold. It also includes the Ducati Card Assistance roadside recovery and medical service.
