Motorcyclists never really grow up—our toys just get bigger, more expensive, and, in the case of supermoto-inspired city bikes, much more entertaining. Ducati’s Hypermotard, Husqvarna’s 701 Supermoto, and KTM’s less supermoto-like, but still naked, 690 Duke are all perfect examples of that. With each of these bikes taking a slightly different approach to the loosely […]

Story: Sean MacDonald We got up at dawn, threw the last of our camping gear in bags, and set our sights south down the Big Sur coast. The next hour and a half of my life saw a completely empty Highway 1 and speeds like I’d never ridden before, with only the birds, elephant seals, […]
Story: Aaron Heinrich Just when you might have thought Ducati had tweaked the Multistrada 1200 as much as you’d think possible, the company took one more stab at it and created an Enduro version. True ADV riders may now have fewer reasons to question the Multistrada’s offroad capability. Look no farther than a few of […]

#flashbackfriday 1971 Ducati 750 GT Introduced in 1971, the 750 GT is the first production Ducati ever fitted with a V-twin engine, a configuration that’s commonly associated with the brand today. The Fabio Taglioni-designed bike uses a 90-degree air-cooled 748cc twin that delivers 60 horsepower at 8,000 rpm. It hits a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h), easier said than done 45 years ago, thanks in part to a low weight of 407 pounds (185 kilos). The 750 GT only remained in production for three years, but it remains a tremendously important bike that blazed the path Ducati followed to become one of the world’s best-known motorcycle manufacturers.
