This year marks Ducati’s 90th anniversary. To celebrate, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer created this special-edition 1299 Panigale S Anniversario. Based on one of Ducati’s most potent motorcycles, the special edition is littered with a host of upgrades that make it more memorable. For starters, there’s the red, white, and black livery that’s accented by gold […]
An official world tour called ‘Globetrotter 90’ has set off from the Ducati headquarters in Bologna as part of the 90th anniversary celebrations the company kicked off at last weekend’s World Ducati Week. All of the Ducati employees assembled wearing red t-shirts outside the factory to see the first rider off on the trip that […]
I flew over 9,000 miles to ride the new Multistrada Enduro for about 90 miles. That ratio may seem a little out of balance but it was totally worth it because if I had to rate the roads of Sardinia on a scale of 1 to 10, I’d give them an 11. Jumping on the Enduro, you […]
Andrea Iannone was in superb form on day 2 of free practice at the Losail circuit, the Italian rider setting the quickest time in both of today’s sessions (FP2 and FP3) and proving to have an excellent pace. His team-mate Andrea Dovizioso was not far behind either: after finishing fifth in FP2, he then […]

Riding a motorcycle is dangerous. Luckily, bikes also give you the best possible tools to avoid crashing — incredibly powerful brakes, obstruction-free vision, excellent handling and very gripy tires. Here’s how to use those tools, and your very own brain, to avoid an accident. Motorcycle Safety: Want to reduce your odds of dying in […]
The R1200GS in its previous form was not only a class leader, it had also become an icon in the motorcycle world and was the de facto bike of choice for far-flung adventures, making it also a leading choice among those whose escapades occur much closer to home. So when it was revealed that the […]
A Ducati fan on Facebook has snagged this first photo of the forthcoming Ducati 899. Based on the 1199′s “frameless” setup, this bike will be equipped with a smaller motor, double-sided swingarm and a lower price tag. The 899 will be the latest in a proud history of mid-capacity Ducatis that ape the design, styling […]
#flashbackfriday 1971 Ducati 750 GT Introduced in 1971, the 750 GT is the first production Ducati ever fitted with a V-twin engine, a configuration that’s commonly associated with the brand today. The Fabio Taglioni-designed bike uses a 90-degree air-cooled 748cc twin that delivers 60 horsepower at 8,000 rpm. It hits a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h), easier said than done 45 years ago, thanks in part to a low weight of 407 pounds (185 kilos). The 750 GT only remained in production for three years, but it remains a tremendously important bike that blazed the path Ducati followed to become one of the world’s best-known motorcycle manufacturers.
